INDUSTRIAL DOUBLE TUBE
INDUSTRIAL DOUBLE TUBE SHEET HEAT EXCHANGER The Dimpleflo Double Tube Sheet Heat Exchanger (also known as Shell & Tube Double Tube Plate Heat Exchanger”) provides the highest levels of product integrity in multitube heat exchanger configurations. Dimpleflo Industrial Multitube Double Tube Plate Heat Exchangers are constructed with two separate tube sheets at each end of each tube bundle. The bundle of Dimpleflo Multitubes is inserted and becomes connected with the outer tube shell with dual flanges at each end. The primary fluid or product is supplied to a grouping of parallel heat transfer tubes while the service fluid flows between and around the tubes within the outer jacket. The first tube plate seals the heating or cooling media in the jacket, (commonly known as service media or secondary flow) and the second tube plate seals the product (or primary) flowpath. This creates an air gap between the two fluids. This gap provides immediate leak detection and combined with seamless pipe, effectively eliminates any possibility of cross contamination. Where products or service media can react if they come in contact with each other, the Double Tube Sheet design ensures any leaks form either side, are vented to atmosphere. Double Tube Plate Heat Exchangers are also used to process large heat transfer applications where one of the fluids is very corrosive or abrasive The inner tubes and first tube plate can be manufactured from a abrasion/corrosion resistant material (e.g titanium) whereas the shell and second tube sheet is made from lower cost carbon steel. The heat exchanger jacket can include expansion bellows to overcome differential expansion between the jacket and inner tube bundle. As with all Dimpleflo Heat Exchangers, the double tube plate configurations are manufactured in Australia and can include wall mounting frames, insulation and stainless steel cladding. Dimplelfo Industrial Heat exchangers are manufactured with dimpled stainless steel heat transfer pipes as standard. Heat exchangers processing corrosive or erosive products can be manufactured using 2205 duplex material. Titanium heat transfer tubes and super duplex heat exchangers are also available. The compact design of Dimpleflo heat exchangers means they can be tailored to almost any application or environment.
